"A Guide to River Trout Flies" beschreibt John Roberts
mehr als 400 Fliegen - aber nur einen Hopper und das ist ein
amerikanisches Muster. Warum?
Er schreibt "Generally speaking the British summer is too
wet for the grasshopper population to reach the near plague
proportions oft parts of North America ..." Das
ist vielleicht auch die Begründung, warum es keine so ausdrücklich
"klassische" Muster von der Insel gibt. Grashüpfer
sind einfach nicht häufig genug und deshalb sind die
"Hopper" oft eine Mischung von Bibio, Daddy Longleg,
evtl. sogar auch Maifliege, manchmal Sedge oder halt irgendein
Terrestrial (Hummel oder sonstwas). Also nicht speziell, sondern
nur grobes Gruppenmuster. ??
